FIRST VISIT

We look forward to meeting will all of our new patients. Your initial, complimentary appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important appointment will give us insights into your orthodontic needs and provide you with important information. We feel it is important to analyze each person's specific needs because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction! Therefore, plan on spending some time with us for that first appointment.

To help expedite your appointment, please be prepared to provide the following information:

• Health history
• Current insurance information
• If you have a Panoramic X-ray taken within the past 6 months, you are welcome to bring it

A panoramic X-ray and digital photos will be taken to help with your treatment assessment. A preliminary diagnosis will be discussed with you during this visit. Computer simulation programs, as well as visual aids, help in explaining all treatment methods and treatment appliances.

During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment:

• Is there a condition that we need to address with orthodontics or dentofacial orthopedics?
• Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
• What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
• How long will treatment take?
• How much will treatment cost?
• What are my payment options?
